Mineralogy: Angelite is the trade name for a blue form of the mineral anhydrite, with the chemical formula CaSO4. It is a sulfate mineral that forms from gypsum (CaSO4⋅2H2O) through a dehydration process. Its blue colour comes from trace amounts of iron.
